How: Sessions will occur every 3-4 weeks, ensuring consistent progress and timely adjustments to the student’s strategy. This frequency allows students to implement feedback, track their development, and refine their approach as they move closer to their match day.

Program Selection: Advises on choosing residency programs that align with the student’s USMLE scores, research focus, and geographical preferences.
Research Advising: Helps identify research opportunities in dermatology or plastic surgery and provides strategies to showcase research productivity effectively.

Nerone Douglas was born in St. Lucia and spent his formative years there before moving to New York during his teenage years. He earned a master's degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Pittsburgh, focusing his thesis on drug repurposing for metastatic osteosarcoma. His work includes leadership roles in research, mentorship, and community outreach programs, such as the Department of Plastic Surgery’s Cultural Complication Curriculum and the Patients R Waiting non-profit, which supports Black and Brown students pursuing medical careers. Nerone is also a Social Medicine Fellow, involved in initiatives like Street Medicine Pittsburgh and the Free Clinic. Outside of medicine, he enjoys outdoor activities like paddleboarding and scuba diving, has a black belt in Japanese Jujitsu, and coaches adaptive tennis for blind/visually impaired athletes. He is currently enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and will be pursuing a residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. More about Nerone
